Bärbel, our archaeological supervisor arrived today, and she explained in detail the results from last year. After lunch, we did our fist tentative steps in direction of actual work. Since the vegetation had grown quite a bit over the last year, our main task for today and the rest of the week was to cut down the grass etc and start the first excavations trying to locate the outer walls of the barracks and the intersection of the inner walls.
