Practical support
for content owners.
My training and guidance cover content management, SEO, accessibility, multimedia production and everyday web practice.
- Support Warwick colleagues with content, structure and web best practice.
- Write step-by-step guides and web development guidance.
- Train colleagues in website tools, video equipment and editing software.
- Explain technical decisions in language that helps people act.
At Warwick Print I produced user guides for the websites, digital print-ordering system and management information system.
02 · Language teaching
From first lessons
to business communication.
Berlitz · Birmingham · 2000–2004
Taught general and business German to individuals and small groups, including corporate clients. Promoted to Senior Teacher for German in June 2001.
London School of Modern Languages · Prague · 1996–1999
Taught individuals and groups from beginner to advanced level. Became Senior Teacher in September 1998, developing courses, supervising junior teachers and supporting examination preparation.
Lowfield School · York · 1991–1992
Supported pupils aged 11–17 as a Foreign Language Assistant, including GCSE preparation.
03 · Wider learning
Intercultural skills
and public understanding.
As an SCI camp-leader instructor, I ran training on project planning, group dynamics, leadership styles, cultural differences and conflict resolution.
In 1992 I devised and delivered courses on Germany’s political system for ethnic German returnees through the German Red Cross.
My approach adapts the method and material to the audience: demonstration, discussion and practice, supported by clear guidance.
